Fresh off a blazing 2025 season that drew hundreds of local talents, Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban is gearing up for another nationwide search for the country’s next rock champion.
Red Horse Beer, the world’s No. 1 extra strong beer, is calling on Filipino bands aged 21 to 45 to join the 2026 competition. Bands from across the country will go through screenings and eliminations leading up to the grand finals, where one group will be crowned Grand Champion and take home P1 million in cash.
Open to all rock genres, from metal and punk to reggae and alternative, the contest continues its legacy as the longest-running battle of the bands in the Philippines.
Since 1999, Muziklaban has produced champions such as Ibarra, Even, Hatankaru, Light of Luna, and Mayonnaise.
Last year’s winner, Tamad Si Juan from Davao, bested finalists from other parts of the country.
