To strengthen security and emergency response, the Victorias City government has installed 22 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units Feb. 18 to ensure the continuous operation of its CCTV surveillance system, even during power outages.
Led by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), this initiative addresses frequent power interruptions that could disrupt real-time monitoring and compromise public safety, the city said Feb. 19.

The UPS units, strategically installed in 22 locations across the city, will serve as a backup power source for CCTV cameras, protecting them from sudden shutdowns and ensuring uninterrupted surveillance in key areas.
The City’s Command and Evacuation Center oversees the monitoring and management of emergency situations in critical sites where the UPS units have been deployed.
This development underscores Victorias’ commitment to enhancing public safety and strengthening its surveillance capabilities, ensuring that CCTV operations remain active and reliable at all times. ||
