The regionwide anti-drug operations from Sept. 22 to 28 led to the arrest of 64 persons and the recovery P4.309 million worth of suspected shabu, a report of the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) showed.
On Sept. 30, the Bacolod City Police Office arrested a drug personality in a buy- bust at Purok Rosas Pandan in Barangay Banago that yielded an estimated P340,000 in suspected shabu.
In a report, the PRO-NIR said the coordinated law enforcement campaign across the region also led to 208 successful law enforcement actions, including the arrest of 23 most wanted persons and 88 other wanted persons, recovery of 32 loose firearms, and apprehension of three violators.
A total of 37 individuals engaged in illegal gambling were arrested, with P3,468 in bet money.
“These coordinated operations continue to disrupt criminal networks and restore peace,” the PRO-NIR said. | GB
