New cop chief assumes command in Guihulngan

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ian Paul Arapols is now the acting chief of the Guihulngan City Police Station following a turnover ceremony in Barangay Poblacion, Guihulngan, Negros Oriental, Sept. 16.

Arapols took over the command from P/Lt. Col. Nerito Lobrido, with the ceremony attended by Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) acting director, P/Col. Jonathan Abella, Guihulngan Mayor Filomeno Reyes, and key police officials from the provincial and station levels.

“We look forward to working closely with you in strengthening peace and order, ensuring public safety, and serving the people of Guihulngan,” Reyes told Arapols in a post.

The formal transfer of the office symbol, property and equipment, inventory books, operational plans, and documentation on active station programs, highlighted the turnover ceremony.

“The occasion served as a significant milestone in ensuring leadership continuity, organizational stability, and the sustained delivery of quality police service to the people of Guihulngan City,” the NOrPPO said in a statement. | TMD
