Negros LGUs get ambulance units

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Wednesday (Jan. 15) led the ceremonial send-off of 11 ambulance units, which will be strategically prepositioned in 11 local government units across Negros Occidental to enhance emergency response capabilities.

The recipients included Cadiz City, Don Salvador Benedicto, San Enrique, E.B. Magalona, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Candoni, Valladolid, Cauayan, Isabela, and Toboso.

Each LGU received a Basic Life Support (Type 1) ambulance unit equipped with essential medical tools and manned by trained, dedicated drivers.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, aims to ensure prompt and efficient emergency medical services during emergencies.

It also highlights the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and improving healthcare access in the province. ||
