NegOcc MSMEs get equipment

The provincial government of Negros Occidental, through the Technology and Livelihood Development Center, distributed tools and equipment to 18 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the eight local government units of the province.

Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, led the ceremonial distribution at the Capitol grounds in Bacolod City recently, and the assistance aims to strengthen the MSMEs that the provincial government said contribute to the province’s socio-economic development and employment generation.

Among the tools distributed were chest freezer, gas range, coffee maker, refrigerator, stainless steel table with sink, cake chiller, industrial burner, price computing price machine, dehydrator aluminum steamer, air fryer, deep fryer, blender, pressure cooker, and other kitchen wares.

These were received by MSME representatives, in the presence of TLDC provincial program manager Gerard Tupas, and Dr. Sharon Juance, a press release from the Capitol said.

The recipients were the Bago Upland Social Forestry Farmers Association, San Carlos Peanut Industry Association Inc., Brgy. Magsaysay Farmers Association, Caridad I Agriculture Cooperative, Casa Agrarian Reform Coop, Small Coconut Farmers Association, Talisay City BUB Food Producers Association, Rural Improvement Club Talisay, Brgy. Zone 12A Women’s Association;

Hacienderos Agrarian Reform Coop., Sta. Rita Farmers MPC, Brgy. Don Jorge L. Araneta ARC, JA and R Food Products RIC, Brgy. Ara-al Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association, Hda. Esperanza Communal ARB Assn., Brgy. Dos Vendors Association, 4H AIYFAWA in Hinigaran, and the Brgy. Lina-on Fisher Folks and Women Association of Cauayan.

Meanwhile, the Mailum Organic Village Association based in Bago City, and represented by its president, Maria Gina Banowski, received a check worth P225,000 for the project marketing logistics and rain shelter project that will benefit 127 beneficiaries.

The check was turned over by Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, in the presence of Office of the Provincial Agriculturist OIC, Dr. Dina Genzola, and staff at the Capitol in Bacolod City Feb. 7. — NND
