The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office accounted for 1,313 wanted persons, out of the 3,057 wanted persons arrested all over Western Visayas in six months.
Of the NOCPPO accomplishments, 104 were categorized as most wanted persons (MWP) and 1,209 as other wanted persons (OWPs), or 42.95 percent of the total arrests.
The Bacolod City Police Office apprehended 42 MWPs, and 198 OWPs, the Police Regional Office said Aug. 27.
Of the six-month campaign against wanted persons all over the region, 466 are categorized as MWPs and 2,591 OWPs.
On the most wanted persons, one belonged to national level, 68 classified as regional, 97 provincial/city level, and 300 were station level, as per the PRO6 records, adding the feat was the result of 2,903 police operations conducted regionwide from Feb. 15 to Aug. 14 this year.
PRO6 director, Brigadier General Jack Wanky, commended the personnel and police units for their patience and meticulous analysis of information leading to the arrests of these wanted persons.
“The results of your efforts are admirable and it truly exemplified your commitment towards your duty,” he said in a statement, adding the manhunt continues until the remaining wanted persons in the region are all accounted. | CGC
