More P3M in shabu seized in WV

Following the seizure of P13.7 million worth of suspected shabu Aug. 30 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, police confiscated P3 million worth of illegal drugs from five arrested drug suspects in Bacolod City, and Lemery town in Iloilo.

More than P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered by the police in a buy-bust operation Sept. 1 at Progreso Village II, Brgy. Vista Alegre in Bacolod City.

The arrested suspect was identified by the police as Justin Gayoso, alias Tin Tin, who was arrested in 2017 for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and released through a plea bargaining agreement three years later, police records showed.

His apprehension yielded about 235 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1,720,400.

Gayoso has been classified by the police as a high value individual drug personality.

The recovery of P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu came two days after the police seized more than two kilos of shabu, with a market value of P13.7 million, from two drug suspects in San Carlos City.

On the same day, the apprehension of four drug suspects in the town of Lemery in Iloilo, also yielded an estimated 200 grams of shabu, with a market value of P1,360,000, Western Visayas police spokesperson, P/Maj. Mary Grace Socorro Borio, said./GB
