A 30-year-old man died after he jumped from the fourth floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City at around 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, the police said.
Lt. Joven Mogato, officer-in-charge of Bacolod City Police Station 2, said in a radio interview that the fatality, who is a resident of the city, is believed to have ended his own life because of family problems.
This was indicated in the suicide note found inside the man’s pocket, he added.
The man, whose identity was withheld by the police, was brought to a hospital where he was declared dead by an attending physician.
Investigators will check the mall’s CCTV footages to see what transpired before the incident, he added. – NND
