Starting Feb. 6, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Bacolod will serve its clients at its new site in Sitio Manayaosayao, Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
LTO Bacolod chief Renato Novero said Friday that they are now accommodating the registration of vehicles at their new office, which has been installed with internet connection and furniture and fixture.
The provincial government of Negros Occidental allocated P33.34 million for the development of the new LTO Bacolod site, including the building construction.
Novero said they will close the old LTO Bacolod office on Feb. 3, so the server could be transferred to the new site.
He added that the inauguration of the new office, either on Feb. 21 or 22, is now being finalized by the provincial government of Negros Occidental.
Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, earlier said that the old LTO Bacolod site and the neighboring Boy Scouts of the Philippines office are within a property owned by the provincial government.
It will be developed into a multi-use building, Diaz said./GB
