Also attending the groundbreaking activities were Vice Mayor Adrian Villaflor, Councilor Vincent Bryan Garcia and officials of RA Construction, the constructing firm.

The 90-meter hanging foot bridge will connect Hda. Jocson to Barangay 4 and Sitio Lemoncito in Quintin Remo. Costing P5 million, it is funded by the national government.

The 50-meter overflow with 130-meters of concrete road has a P6-million budget from the local government.

Mayor Yulo said the foot bridge will be constructed in response to the residents’ appeal made earlier.

Residents of Sitio Lemoncito thanked the local government for the foot bridge as they have been crossing the river via a boat and a rope connection which poses danger to them when water level rises during heavy rains. – NWI
