Still no classes in EB Magalona, Bago

The suspension of face to face classes in Bago City and EB Magalona in Negros Occidental has been extended until today, June 2.

Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo, however, enjoined schools to conduct online classes, due to prevailing southwest monsoon.

Mayor Marvin Malacon also announced that work in government offices will continue today, despite the suspension of classes, in all levels.

State weather bureau PAGASA issued yellow rainfall warning in Candoni, Sipalay City, Cauayan, Ilog, Kabankalan City, Himamaylan City, Binalbagan, Isabela, Hinigaran, Moises Padilla, La Castellana, Pontevedra, Hinoba-an, La Carlota City, San Enrique, Valladolid, Pulupandan, Bago City, Talisay City, Silay City, Enrique B. Magalona, Victorias City, Murcia, and Manapla, all in Negros Occidental, as well as in Bacolod City.

Yellow warning means possible flooding in low-lying areas and near river channels./GB
