Bago cops recognized

The Bago City Police Station in Negros Occidental was recognized with the Most Number of Arrested Wanted Persons, Most Number of Operations on Illegal Gambling, and Most Number of Accomplishment on Loose Firearms awards in line with the 120th Police Service Anniversary.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office in Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City Oct. 9, with no less than PNP chief, General Guillermo Eleazar, presenting the awards.

Bago PNP officer-in-charge, P/Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, received the awards from Eleazar, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, and Vice Governor Jeffery Ferrer, a press release from the city said Oct. 11.

Eleazar was in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental over the weekend for a command visit, which included the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and unveiling of the NOCPPO Kapanalig Oval and Recognition Wall, presentation of PNP equipment donated by the provincial government, meetings with local chief executives, and inspection of component police stations. | NND
