Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson is not taking chances, and will undergo another RT-PCR testing to ensure that he is free from the COVID-19 infection.
Lacson was non-reactive to the Rapid Antigen Testing, but yielded a positive result in the RT-PCR test at the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City last week.
He returned to work, under a work from home arrangement, Wednesday, after completing the mandated isolation period.
The governor attributed his speedy recovery to being fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease.
Lacson said he expects to return to his office at the Capitol building in Bacolod City on Jan. 31.
Aside from Lacson, two of his security aides and several Capitol employees were also infected, and led to the temporary lockdown of the Capitol building for disinfection.
Meanwhile, the operations of the Bago and Silay city halls are back to normal following decontamination, after many of their employees also tested positive for COVID-19. |GB
