Classroom building turned over in Cadiz

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the turnover of a two-storey, 12-classroom building at Manuel J. Escalante Elementary School in Brgy. Tinampa-an, Cadiz City, today, Aug. 12.

Each classroom in the new school building has an average seating capacity of 46 students per room. It is equipped with a fire detection and alarm system with two entrance and exit stairs at both ends of the building.

It also features an individual comfort room in each of the classroom at the ground floor and a common male and female comfort rooms at the second floor.

The turnover ceremony was witnessed by Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr., Brgy. Captain Vicente Villacin, school principal Madjeme Hassim, PTA president Noel Francisco, teachers, and other local officials.

The new school building was constructed through the Provincial Engineer’s Office and completed in June 2022.

Lacson said that the turnover of the school is timely with the opening of face-to-face classes this year.

“I am confident that the teaching force here are up to the task of educating our Negrense students,” he said in a Capitol press release.

The governor urged the teachers and the school management to make sure that the students are safe in school by practicing health protocols at all times. ||
