The casual and permanent employees of the provincial government of Negros Occidental have been added to the beneficiaries of its comprehensive health care program.
In Executive Order (EO) No. 23-03, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said that more than 3,000 Capitol regular and casual employees will be benefited by the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program (NOCHP).
The job order and contract of service employees were earlier covered by the NOCHP, based on another executive order issued earlier by Lacson.
Randy Peacita, president of the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees, said that they initially consulted with Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II to also include the regular and casual employees as NOCHP beneficiaries.
Upon the recommendation of Diaz, it received the approval of Lacson on Nov. 28.
Under the EO, the legitimate spouse, children and dependents of Capitol employees may also avail of NOCHP privileges.
If unutilized by year-end, casual and regular employees are entitled to a health checkup in any of the participating public provincial government hospitals. | GB
