CAFGU detachments get cash aid

The six Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) detachments stationed in Murcia, Negros Occidental received financial aid from the municipal government in recognition of their efforts in maintaining peace and order.

Mayor Gerry Rojas turned over on Wednesday the P150,000 financial assistance to Brig. Gen. Orlando Edralin, commander of 303rd Infantry Brigade (IB), in rites witnessed by commanders of the CAFGU detachments.

Each of the six CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) units received P25,000.

The financial support will be utilized for the improvement of the CAA patrol bases and their day-to-day operations as they safeguard the community, Capt. Mervin Rosal, civil-military operations officer 303IB, said.

The six CAA patrol bases are being supervised by the 79th Infantry Battalion.

Rojas thanked the CAAs for their unwavering commitment to public service and continuous efforts in maintaining peace and order in Murcia.

He emphasized the significance of working together with law enforcement agencies to create a harmonious and secure environment for the community. | GB
