The Bacolod City Legal Office (CLO) has reached an agreement with vendors operating near the Barangay Tangub Hall for a 30-day extension.

CLO head, Atty. Karol Joseph Chiu, said Aug. 11 that they met with the vendors’ association, who expressed their cooperation and intention to comply with an earlier notice to vacate, but appealed that they be given more time.

The city served notices to vacate to over 40 structure owners July 20.

Chiu said the city halted full demolition efforts to accommodate the vendors’ request for a 30-day grace period so they can secure special permits.

He noted that vendor leaders expressed full willingness to relocate voluntarily once the new facility is completed. | TMD
