About P4.7 million worth of suspected shabu were confiscated by the police from six drug suspects, who were arrested in three buy-bust operations on Aug. 10 and 11 in Bacolod City.
The operation on Aug. 11 at Bangga Vista Alegre in Barangay Mansilingan led to the arrest of Reagan Perez, a jeepney driver, and Rolando Padilla, a fish vendor, who yielded 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at P680,000.
In Zone 5 of Barangay Handumanan, the City Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez recovered more than half a kilo of suspected shabu worth P3.536 million.

Arrested were two suspects identified as Levijun Tapang and Raegil Alarcon, residents of Barangays Handumanan and Estefania in Bacolod City, respectively.
Another buy-bust conducted by the Police Station 8 operatives at Purok Grasya, Barangay Singcang-Airport led to the arrest of two Cadiz City residents, and the recovery of about 80 grams of suspected shabu valued at P544,000.
They were identified as Evon Mae Ante, 27, home-based call center agent, and Ritchie Militar, a 50-year-old ambulance driver.
The six arrested drug suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In Calatrava, Negros Occidental, alias “Archie” was arrested at Sitio Telim in Barangay Suba, with 12 grams of suspected shabu valued at P81,6000 in his possession as well as a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition.
Buy-bust operations in Moises Padilla and Manapla led to the arrest of three persons as well as the recovery of about seven grams of suspected shabu valued at P51,000. | GB
