Bagonhons benefit from medical mission

About 400 Bagonhons benefited from the outreach program and medical mission conducted by the Go Bago Team and Dynamic Lions Club of Bacolod-District 301 B at the Barangay Sagasa covered court in Bago City July 14.

Clubs under the Dynamic Lions Club of Bacolod-District 301 B provided various services to the beneficiaries, including free consultation, diabetes detection and screening, and gave medicines, vitamins, and eyeglasses, food packs to senior citizens, and gifts to cancer patients and survivors, among others.

Aside from Barangay Sagasa residents, other recipients are from neighboring barangays, such as Alianza, Bagroy, and Caridad.

Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo and Vice Mayor Ramon Torres, along with Negros Occidental 4th District Board Member Andrew Martin Torres and councilors Joseph Colmenares, Jake Patrick Torres, Ma. Josefa Matti, Ma. Femmy Alvarez-Martir, Victor Michael Javellana, and Carlos Mondia graced the activity, along with barangay and city officials.

For the Lions Club, the team was led by newly-elected district governor Antonio Belluga Sr. and Negros Occidental Council overall president, Dr. Chona Abkilan, the city said in a press release.

The Go Bago Team thanked the participating clubs and groups, doctors from the Bago City Hospital and City Health Office, as well as volunteer-doctors, including Dr. Ray Vincent Varrera and Dr. Michelle Gahaton, among other stakeholders. ||
