The Bago City Information and Public Affairs Office bagged the 3rd place Best Facebook Page award and a special citation as Best Newspaper for its “Ang Bagonhon Subong” publication during the Western Visayas Regional Summit in Iloilo City Dec. 12.
The office manages The Citybridge, the official Facebook Page of the city government of Bago, while “Ang Bagonhon Subong” is its official community newspaper.
Bago was also recognized for “championing timely, accurate, relevant, and truthful information and for building strong grassroots communication” through organizing, establishing, and institutionalizing the first Barangay Information Officers Network (BION) in Negros Occidental.
These accolades were received by information III Ace Balboa from Philippine Information Agency Western Visayas, led by regional head Cheryl Amor, deputy regional head Easter Anne Doza, Karelyn Sumagaysay of the Negros Occidental Information Center, and assistant director-general for Organizational Development and International Affairs, Atty. Tadeo Culla, the city said. ||
