The Bacolod City COVID-19 vaccination card, a QR-coded digital vaccination record of those who have been fully vaccinated under the Bacolod City government COVID vaccination program, was launched this afternoon, Nov. 8, at the Bacolod City Government Center lobby.

Emergency Operations Center-Task Force executive director Em Ang posted on her Facebook page this afternoon that for now, the BACuna card will only be for fully vaccinated persons or those who got their second dose more than 14 days ago.

The Bacolod City government launched the QR-coded BACuna card, as posted by Emergency Operations Center-Task Force executive director Em Ang on her Facebook page this afternoon, Nov. 8.

Ang said the BACuna card contains the vaccinee’s personal data, brand and lot number of the vaccine received, location and date where the jabs were administered, and a QR code that will be used to verify if the personal data matches those in the city government’s database.

The card will be initially available for those who will be traveling domestically, and can be used in lieu of the vaccine certificate or vaccine card.

When fully operational, the BACuna Card is supposed to provide all Bacolodnons with a digital vaccine card that can be verified as authentic by the Bacolod COVAC database, she added.

The launching was attended by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, councilors Cindy Tan-Rojas, Rene Novero, and Israel Salanga, City Health officer in charge, Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr., and EOC deputy Dr. Chris Sorongon, among others.
