Another oil price rollback May 7

The second week of fuel price rollback looms, with oil companies announcing a per-liter decrease effective tomorrow, May 7.

Expect diesel prices to go down by P0.70 to P0.90 per liter, gasoline by P0.50 to P0.70/L, and kerosene by P0.90 to P1.10/L.

The exact adjustments will be known today.

Last week, oil companies also reduced the per-liter price of their petroleum products, with gasoline down by P0.25, diesel by P0.45, and kerosene at P0.90.

“The week-on-week price of Dubai crude has decreased by around $0.70 per barrel,” the Department of Energy Oil Monitor showed, adding that gasoline, diesel, and kerosene have also decreased week-on-week by about $1.90, $2.30, and $3.00 per barrel, respectively.”

Adjustments in the prices of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene since the start of this year stood at a per liter net increase of P10, P5.60, and P0.25, respectively, the DOE added. | CGC
