Negros and Bacolod pride, Doc Pin Diego, once again put the Philippines on the Jiu Jitsu map, after winning the silver at the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation American Nationals, in Las Vegas, Nevada recently.

The most decorated Negrense Jiu Jitsu fighter, who is also a proud Candonian, represented the Filipinos well in this big event in United States, which was held at the Convention Center Las Vegas.

To take the silver is a huge honor for the Pinoys, since Doc Pin pitted his strength and skill against thousands of competitors from around the world.

To represent us as Pinoys in such a big event in the United States in Jiu Jitsu is such an honor. And to take the silver is huge for the Negronsanon.

Doc Pin already has two IBJJF American Nationals Championships. He was looking for his third one in this year’s fight but eventually lost to an American.

But he said he is happy to take the silver home and to share it with his kababayans.

He said he wants to inspire other Filipinos to find their passion in life and to go fight for it.

Doc Pin said he hopes that, someday, he can share his skills and talents to other Negrenses, especially the law enforcers, women, and the generations to come. ||
