Three men, believed to be victims of summary executions, were discovered in three areas of Negros Occidental and Bacolod City on May 18.
Police probers are still establishing if the killings of the three victims in Murcia, and the cities of Talisay and Bacolod, are connected with each other.
Bryan Barredo, 24, was found dead in Hacienda Sagrado, Brgy. Zone 16, Talisay City, with gunshot wounds in the chest and forehead, Police Executive MSgt. Reynaldo Suelto said.
Barredo was reportedly fetched by someone Monday night from his residence in Purok Tangigue, Brgy. 1, Bacolod City, before his body was discovered the next day.
Suelto said his father and brother are detained for drug-related charges.
P/Lt. Andy Ofalia, deputy commander of the Bacolod City Police Office Station 2, said that Barredo was being monitored for his alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
Another victim, identified as Ahmed Haj, a Filipino-Omani, was found dead at the BREDCO Port Terminal 3 area in Brgy. 8, Bacolod City, also on Tuesday.
Ofalia said that Haj, 34, a home-based teacher and engaged in an online business, also succumbed to gunshot wounds in the chest and back.
A day before his death, Haj was seen riding a Mitsubishi Montero vehicle.
The police also identified the man found dead in a sugarcane plantation in Brgy. Blumentritt, Murcia, as Archie Aguirre, 31, of Crossing Camba-og in Hinigaran.
P/Capt. Jerald Muya, Murcia police officer-in-charge, said Aguirre also succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and body.
Eight empty shells of a .22 caliber pistol were recovered at the crime scene.– GB
