Pag-IBIG Fund brings more housing opportunities closer to its members in the Visayas, with the first government-initiated housing fair that opened Oct. 27 at SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, participated in by more than 25 housing and real estate developers.
Pag-IBIG Fund chief executive officer Marilene Acosta said at the opening of the two-day Visayas Housing Fair that “our members can explore housing projects, compare options, and receive assistance from developer-partners and Lingkod Pag-IBIG, all in one venue – a one-stop-shop.”
“We want to (also) bring more economic activities here in Bacolod,” Acosta stressed. “With your strong support and participation, we hope to make this the biggest housing fair ever held in the city.”

It is part of the 2nd National Housing Expo series in line with the National Shelter Month, the agency said, adding the Visayas Fair offers over 12,000 housing units from more than 25 participating developers, as well as special offers, on-site Pag-IBIG housing loan assistance, and acquired assets at discounts of up to 30 percent.
Acosta said developer-partners are offering a wider range of housing options, discounts on deposit and processing fee, and exclusive buyer incentives to make home ownership even more affordable.
“Visit the booths, explore your options, and speak with our Lingkod Pag-IBIG to find the financing program that best suits your needs and budget,” she urged Bacolodnons and Negrenses.
Mayor Greg Gasataya, meanwhile, welcomed the holding of the Visayas Housing Fair in Bacolod, noting that it is the dream of every family to own a house and not be burdened by monthly rent.
“We know that one of the major thrusts of the national government is for us Filipinos to be able to have access to our own house, our own home,” Gasataya said as he thanked Pag-IBIG for choosing Bacolod as venue of the fair. | CGC
