A man died after being mauled by three individuals, including a minor, along C.L. Ledesma Avenue in Barangay 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Saturday evening, Sept. 5.
Authorities said that alias “Wendell”, 46, of Barangay Poblacion, Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental, was walking down the street at about 6:30 p.m. when three male suspects attacked him for no apparent reason.
“Wendell” sustained a severe head injury after losing his balance and hitting the paved road, causing him to lose consciousness. He was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital for urgent treatment but was declared dead hours later.
Hospital personnel subsequently alerted the police, who are conducting follow-up operations to locate and arrest the suspects, two of whom were already identified. | TMD
