The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will lead the conduct of the 2027 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in Bacolod City, following a coordination meeting between PSA and the city government Aug. 19.
PSA undersecretary Claire Dennis Mapa headed the delegation, along with representatives from the PSA provincial office.
Mayor Greg Gasataya said PSA requested to lead in the conduct of CBMS, instead of the city, since the agency has the expertise and technology.
“We will download the necessary funds for the conduct of the survey of the PSA,” the mayor added. “I am pushing for this because there are lots of programs from the national government that use CBMS as basis, including the Uplift. If your data is not updated and precise, you will not be able to target the actual beneficiary.”
He said the city will provide operational support to the PSA throughout the conduct of the survey.
The data collected by the PSA will be submitted to the city government. | TMD
