The Bacolod City government has ordered the shutdown of over 19 business establishments July 16.

The affected businesses, located around the Villa Angela East Block and nearby mall, were found operating without the required mayor’s permit and other licensing documents.

City Legal Office Enforcement Team leader Levy Pangue said July 17 that due process was strictly observed, and notices to comply issued last month, before the closure orders were enforced Thursday.

He said that these establishments did not secure the necessary business permits, while several others failed to renew their existing licenses.

The city government said the closed stalls and shops will be allowed to resume operations once all necessary permits and legal documents are secured. | TMD
