A 14-year-old boy sustained burns to his upper left arm and back in a residential fire caused by a lit candle left unattended in Purok Laurel, Bangga Alit, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Sept. 5.
The Bureau of Fire Protection-Bacolod said the boy was injured while attempting to salvage clothes and other belongings from his bedroom amid the conflagration.
The fire quickly spread through the residential compound, and damaged four houses.
Six families, or 15 individuals, have been affected, and total structural damage reached P22,500, the BFP-Bacolod said. | TMD
