An 18-year-old motorcyclist died, while two others were critically injured following a head-on collision along the provincial road in Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental, on Friday, June 12.
Police Captain Honey Labaro, Acting Chief of the Murcia Municipal Police Station (MPS), confirmed that the teenage driver, identified as alias “Benny,” succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the second motorcycle, alias “Marco,” 25, and his back rider, alias “Aljo,” 37, remain in critical condition as of press time.

All those involved are residents of Barangay Minoyan.
Police investigation showed that Benny was driving a Euro 150cc motorcycle from Purok 5 toward Purok 1 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Suzuki Raider 150cc motorcycle driven by Marco at around 10:30 p.m.
All three riders were thrown off their motorcycles and sustained severe injuries.
They were initially taken to the Murcia Rural Health Center before being transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City for further treatment. | TMD
