The municipal hall of Isabela will be locked down for four days starting tomorrow, Dec. 1, after three of its employees tested positive for coronavirus.
Rene Iturriaga, executive assistant of Dr. Irene Montilla, town mayor, said yesterday the three employees have been placed on isolation at the local quarantine facility and are scheduled to be brought to the Provincial Healing Center in EB Magalona.
The lockdown of the town hall comes on the heels of reports that 31 houses in three barangays of Isabela have been sealed off since Friday, Nov 27, by the local Inter-Agency Task Force, due to confirmed COVID-19 cases in these areas.

Jeffrey Esclavia, head of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, said 24 houses affecting 85 individuals were locked down in Barangay 5, five houses with 19 households in Barangay Rumirang, and two households with 16 individuals in Barangay Panaquiao.
Esclavia also said a 35-year-old pregnant woman from Sitio Galo, Barangay 5, was brought to the isolation facility of the town after she tested positive for coronavirus disease.
The municipal health office is now looking for a hospital for the patient since she is due to give birth any time, he added.
Another 35-year-old female from Purok Uno in Barangay Panaquiao, and a 27-year-old female in Hacienda Milagrosa, Barangay Rumirang, both close contacts of a positive patient, were brought to the provincial healing center in E.B. Magalona yesterday.
Esclavia added they are tracing the other close contacts of the three confirmed cases for swab testing.
The barangay police are in-charge of securing the affected households while the barangay provided food in the first 24 hours of lockdown.
The municipal government will provide for their food starting today, Nov. 29, until the results of the swab tests for all close contacts turned negative. – MML
