From the Bacolod-Silay Airport, Coscolluela said the party of Robredo will proceed to Purok Lubi in Brgy. Gil Montilla, Sipalay City, where she will distribute housing materials to 50 families, and to 45 households in Brgy. Mambugsay, Cauayan.

Also to receive housing materials from Robredo, who is running for president in the May 9 polls, are 50 families in Kabankalan City, 45 in Hinoba-an, and 30 families each in Candoni and Ilog towns, Coscolluela, who is also the provincial chair of the Robredo’s People Council (RPC), added.

RPC Negros Occidental operations officer, Edwin Nacionales, said that thousands of “pink warriors” are expected to join the caravan, also on Saturday, to open Robredo’s campaign center in Hinigaran town.

Nacionales added that they are expecting a huge turnout as many Bacolod-based pink volunteers already signified interest to join the activity that will also be attended by local political leaders and multi-sectoral groups. — GB
