A total of 279 children benefited from the “Balik Eskwela 2026: Gift Giving and Feeding Program” of the Bureau of Fire and Protection-Bacolod with support from its partners.
Spearheaded by city fire marshal FSupt. Jenny Mae Masip, the initiative aimed to provide school supplies and meals to school children ahead of the opening of classes in June.
On May 23, 132 learners at Guanzon-Balgos Elementary School in Barangay Dulao, Bago City received school supplies and participated in a feeding program.
The outreach activity was conducted in partnership with Kanlaon Lodge No. 64 F.&A.M and Philippine National Police Academy Sansinirangan Class of 2007.
On the same day, 66 Kindergarten to Grade 12 learners received school supplies and meals at Purok Santan in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
The activity was supported by Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod and Mister Donut.
The activity was capped with the distribution of school supplies and meals to 81 children of BFP personnel at the grounds of the Bacolod City Fire Station.
“This initiative reflects the importance of extending support not only to communities and learners in need, but also to the families of our personnel who continuously stand behind us in our commitment to public service,” Masip said. ||
