The number of “active” coronavirus positive in Cadiz City is on a steady decline the last two days, Mayor Salvador Escalante, Jr. said.
Escalante, citing the Nov. 22 update of the City Health Office as 7:20 last night, showed that the LGU only has 41 “active” cases left.
On Saturday, Nov. 21, the CHO told Escalante they have 49 “active” cases on record.
It’s better that we report the Cadiz count ahead after it has been validated by our frontliners. It’s better that the public hears it straight from us than getting it wrong from other sources, the mayor said.
The local Inter-Agency Task Force is currently monitoring 217 PUMs, down from 240 last Saturday. Of the remaining PUMs, 10 are at the St. Andrew’s Park Place Isolation Facility; 20 in EB Magalona, while 187 are home quarantined. Some 6,298 have already been cleared.
They also have no new confirmed case for Sunday, while nine others have fully recovered, he added. We just hope that the Provincial Health Office won’t get it wrong this time, he said. – ETL
