Policemen seized almost P1 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust at Hacienda Bato in Barangay Nanca, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental on Jan. 14.

The operation conducted by the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station also led to the arrest of six drug suspects, one of them a minor.

Their arrest yielded about 140 grams of suspected shabu valued at P952,000, and two units of motorcycles.

Meanwhile, three other drug suspects were arrested by the police in Cadiz City, Pontevedra, and Murcia on Thursday (Jan. 15), which led to the confiscation of eight grams of suspected shabu worth P58,000.

In a statement, the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region attributed the successful anti-drug operations to decisive action and commitment of concerned police units to relentlessly track, apprehend, and hold accountable those who engage in illegal activities. | GB
