Mimie Yap, a businesswoman from Bacolod City, was crowned Miss Celestial Philippines 2025 during its inaugural pageant held at Okada Hotel in Manila on Dec. 8.
The pageant focuses on the beauty and wellness industry.
Representing Negros Occidental, Yap bested 15 other candidates from various cities and municipalities across the country.

Yap, who paid a courtesy visit on Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson at the Provincial Capitol on Friday (Dec. 19), said the beauty pageant will soon go international.
Lacson congratulated Yap for bringing the crown home.
Pioneering as the nation’s pageant centered on the beauty and wellness industry, Miss Celestial Philippines distinguishes itself from conventional competitions through its foundational values of equity, inclusivity, and accessibility.
In a notable step forward, the program does not charge participation or entry fee, enabling women across all backgrounds to compete on the strength of their talent, enthusiasm, and advocacy efforts.
“Miss Celestial Philippines was created to redefine what beauty truly means today — purpose over perfection, values over titles, and impact over appearances, Jessa Macaraig, Celestial Philippines national director, said.
“We want every woman to know that she is worthy of being seen, heard, and celebrated — regardless of her background. This platform exists to uplift, not exclude,” she added. | GB
