Policemen seized P8.5 million worth of suspected shabu from two arrested individuals in Negros Island over the weekend.
In Bacolod City, anti-drug operatives recovered about 230 grams of suspected shabu from a 19-year-old female during a buy-bust at Purok Narra Baybay in Barangay 8 on Dec. 7.
The confiscated shabu, with a market value of P1.564 million, were seized by the Bacolod City Police Office City Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
On Dec. 6, the police also confiscated almost P7 million worth of suspected shabu from a 33- year-old male at Purok 5 in Barangay Jilocon, San Jose, Negros Oriental.
Alias “Basim” yielded 1,019 grams of suspected shabu valued about P7 million, the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region said in a report.
The joint operation also led to the confiscation of a Smith and Wesson 357 caliber revolver with three ammunition and a dark blue Honda Click motorcycle. | GB
