Eleven persons were arrested by the police in separate operations that yielded about P300,000 worth of suspected shabu in Negros Occidental during the weekend.
On Sunday (Nov. 23), the arrest of alias “Jude,” 21, led to the confiscation of about 40 grams of suspected valued at P272,000.
The operation was conducted by the drug enforcement team of Police Station 2 at Purok Lubi in Barangay 3, Bacolod City.
Ten other individuals were arrested in the cities of Silay, Sipalay, Kabankalan, San Carlos, Victorias and Talisay, and La Castellana town on Nov. 22.
The apprehensions yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu, according to a report of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.
All those arrested will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
