A residential subdivision development, dubbed Project Dolce, is being eyed in a 26-hectare property at the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road, Barangay Matab-ang in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The proposed project “is a modern contemporary residential development… designed to be secure and flood-free, will feature premium amenities, and target licensed professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and established families seeking to upgrade to the Ayala lifestyle”.
It will consist of saleable lots, road network, community facilities, open spaces, sewage treatment plant, materials recovery facility, and other support facilities, per a project description made public by the DENR-Environmental Management Bureau in Western Visayas.
The EMB6 has scheduled a public scoping this morning, Sept. 3, in Barangay Matab-ang, for officials and residents of Talisay City and other stakeholders.
The public scoping is an early stage in the environmental impact assessment process where the proponent aims to provide an overview of the proposed project, gather issues and concerns, and other relevant information for the scope of work and terms of reference in preparation for the Environmental Impact Statement, EMB6 director Vicente Losbañes explained.
The conduct of a public scoping is required in the application for an environmental compliance certificate, Losbañes added. | CGC
