A driver of a church was shot to death by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City on Sunday (Aug. 24).
The victim, identified by the police as Efren Banaglorioso, 59, of Barangay Granada, Bacolod City succumbed to multiple gunshot injuries.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was standing outside the Bacolod Cosmopolitan Christian Church when a black Mitsubishi Montero stopped.
A man disembarked and shot him several times. He died on the spot, according to the police.
The gunman was reported to have fled going north on board the vehicle.
Investigators recovered from the scene of incident six bullet shells and slug of still unknown caliber of firearm.
The victim was reported to have worked as a caretaker of a private property in Barangay Granada. | GB
