The city’s public plaza and the Bacolod Government Center (BGC) grounds will once again serve as the main hubs of this year’s MassKara Festival, with daily activities lined up from Oct. 1 to 19.
Festival director and Gugma Foundation president Rodney Ascalon said preparations are underway to make the plaza come alive with cultural shows, live entertainment, and diverse food choices that reflect the festive spirit of the MassKara.

To ensure an organized and vibrant festival marketplace, a preselling orientation for interested kiosk operators will be held on Aug. 23, Gugma said in a press release Aug. 20.
Slots for food kiosks at both the plaza and BGC grounds are limited, and only those who attend the orientation will be eligible to secure a space and receive complete guidelines.
“We are inviting entrepreneurs to be part of the festival by joining the orientation. This is their chance to showcase their products and share in the joy of the City of Smiles,” Ascalon said. ||
