Police arrested a 20-year-old suspect in Brgy. Poblacion West, Candoni, Negros Occidental Oct. 12, for allegedly raping his minor friend in an abandoned house.
The Candoni Municipal Police Station and regional intelligence unit operatives apprehended alias “Ron”, a resident of the area, and listed as the 9th most wanted person by the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region.
Investigations revealed the victim was invited by “Ron” to visit his house, but he stopped his motorcycle before a deserted building, forced her inside, and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The suspect was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of statutory rape, with no bail recommended.
He is under the custody of the Candoni Police for proper disposition. | TMD
