The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) conferred awards to seven police officers led by PCol. Joeresty Coronica, Bacolod City Police Office director, and PCol. Ronan Rodriguez Claravall, Negros Oriental police director, for their exemplary performance in the fields of operations and administration.
During the awarding rites held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Monday, Aug. 11, Coronica was adjudged as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration while Claravall as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations.
PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit chief, was named Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations; PLt. Mohammad Mujieb Barazar Hadji Jamel – Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration;
PSSg Josie Toquero Fiel – Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Administration; PCMS Christopher Padernelia Panes – Best Police Senior Non- Commissioned Officer for Operations; PCpl. Louel Manaya Ba-at – Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operations; and NUP Irene Antipora Miguel – Best Non-Uniformed Personnel for Non-Supervisory.
In a statement, the PRO-NIR said the recognition highlights the unwavering dedication and perseverance of Philippine National Police personnel, not only in operational fields but also in administrative functions.
Both areas are indispensable in ensuring proper manning requirements and the strategic deployment of personnel, enabling swift and effective responses to critical situations, it added.
Negros Occidental Fifth District Board Member Rita Angela Gatuslao, who was the guest of honor and speaker, lauded the personnel of PRO-NIR in upholding their sworn duty to protect lives, preserve peace, and maintain public order.
Gatuslao said the recognition given during the ceremony is not merely symbolic, but a testament to the hard work, integrity, and sacrifices made by police officers in the line of duty.
