Over P4 million worth of suspected shabu was seized, and four suspects were arrested by the Bacolod police in separate buy-bust operations in barangays Handumanan and Singcang-Airport last night, Aug. 10.
The Bacolod City Police Office said that operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), led by their chief, P/Lt. Col. Antonio Benitez Jr., conducted a buy-bust operation at around 8:34 p.m. in Zone 5, Barangay Handumanan, that led to the arrest of alias Levi, male, single, of Brgy. Handumanan; and alias Raegil, male, single, of Brgy. Estefania.
Confiscated from them were approximately 520 grams of suspected shabu, valued at around P3,536,000.

At around 8:42 p.m. in Purok Grasya, Barangay Singcang-Airport, operatives of Police Station 8, led by P/Cpt. Greeky Cayao, also conducted another buy-bust that yielded 80 grams of suspected shabu, worth P544,000.
Arrested during the operation were alias Evon, female, single, and alias Ritche, male, married, both from Cadiz City in Negros Occidental, the police said.
The four suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
