The Bacolod City government, through its Urban Basic Services Division (UBSD), opened its Breastfeeding and Lactation Room at the 3rd floor of the Government Center March 25.
Its opening is in line with the celebration of the National Women’s Month, on the theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the city said.
The room is co-shared with DSSD’s child-minding room where breastfeeding mothers can allow their children to play. It is open to the public and city government employees during office hours, Monday to Friday.
The ceremony was led by Mayor Alfredo Benitez, Councilor Celia Matea Flor, and concerned department heads and personnel. ||
