A widow and her son were shot to death by a still unidentified gunman in Barangay Dianay, Escalante City, Negros Occidental on Feb. 15.
The victim, alias “Estelita”, 81, and her son, alias “Virgilio”, 58, a laborer, were on their way home Saturday night when they were attacked, initial police investigation showed.
They sustained various injuries and were both declared dead on arrival at the Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. District Memorial Hospital in Sagay City.
Investigators recovered at the scene of incident a deformed slug and two live ammunition.
The Escalante City police is still establishing the motive of the shooting incident. | GB
