More members of the House of Representatives, including Negros Occidental 5th District Rep. Emilio Bernardino Yulo, have signed the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte, Abang Lingkod partylist Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano said on Thursday (Feb. 6).
Paduano said that Yulo signed the impeachment complaint after the session was adjourned on Feb. 5.
He raised the possibility that Yulo was not included in the official list of 215 signatories when the impeachment complaint was endorsed to the Senate.
“We are still counting those who still want to sign the complaint,” Paduano added.
The confirmation of Paduano indicated that all solons in Negros Island and Siqujior, who had pushed for the revival of the Negros Island Region (NIR), are signatories to the impeachment complaint.
Those who signed the impeachment resolution include Rep. Greg Gasataya (Lone District of Bacolod), Rep. Gerardo Valmayor (1st district, Negros Occidental), Rep. Alfredo Marañon III (2nd district, Negros Occidental), Rep. Juliet Marie Ferrer (4th district, Negros Occidental), Rep. Mercedes Alvarez (6th district, Negros Occidental); Rep. Jocelyn Limkaichong (1st district, Negros Oriental), Rep. Manuel Sagarbarria (2nd district, Negros Oriental), and Rep. Zaldy Villa (Lone District of Siquijor). ||
