Riverside College Bacolod achieved a back-to-back Top 1 feat in the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination (PTLE), after its alumnus, Raymund Carlo Masbaño, topped the December PTLE, with a rating of 90.55 percent.
In the December 2023 PTLE, alumna Ma. Angelica Faye Zapanta dela Victoria also ranked first with a rating of 89.70 percent.
“Riverside College has now produced the Top 1 for two consecutive years, showcasing our commitment to excellence in BS Physical Therapy,” the school said in a post this afternoon, Dec. 10, adding that Masbaño’s “success inspires and serves as a beacon of hope for others chasing their dreams.”
“As a proud alum of our Senior High School and College programs, his achievement sets a new standard of excellence,” the school stressed.
The Professional Regulation Commission said that 1,206 out of 1,700 examinees passed last week’s PTLE, for a national passing percentage of 70.94. In December last year, the PRC had said that 1,288 of 1,884 examinees hurdled the exam, for a passing percentage of 69.57.
Registration for the issuance of the professional identification card and certificate of registration will be done online, starting on Jan. 27, 2025, while the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced soon, the PRC added. | CGC
