Members of the Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod community gathered yesterday to commemorate its ceremonial conferment of ISO 21001:2018 certificate at the college gymnasium.

The activity started with a thanksgiving mass with representatives from the school’s certifying body in attendance.

ISO 21001:2018 is a globally recognized management system standard specifically designed for educational organizations. It establishes a framework that helps educational institutions deliver high-quality education, meeting the needs of learners and other beneficiaries.

Congratulatory messages were shared by different stakeholders of the school, including its former president, Rev. Fr. Arnel Dizon.

In his speech, Dizon expressed confidence that this latest achievement of CSA-B will enhance the school’s commitment to “delivering quality Augustinian education and training towards human formation and social transformation”.

This message was echoed by the school’s current president, Rev. Fr. Jose Rene Delariarte, who emphasized the importance of having a “continuous process of improving from a higher point of view”.

He also thanked the different members of the community for their contribution to the ISO 21001:2018 certification of the school.

The event was held in celebration of its successful compliance of the requirements of the ISO 21001:2018 standard, following a multi-site Certification Audit held in September at the main campus and at the Villa San Agustin extension.

CSA-B completed its Documentation Audit May 30 this year.

The Certification Audit was conducted by a team from the certifying body, TÜV SÜD, composed of its lead auditor, Len Marc Tagud, and auditors Erwin Quinto and Jaypee Bathan.

Also with the audit team were technical experts Rhea Tolentino and Geraldine Pasaba.

Different members of the Augustinian community actively participated in the activity, including the members of the top management, unit heads, and institutional process owners.

“The ISO 21001:2018 certification was made possible through the concerted efforts of the different members of the educative community: the Augustinian friars, lay academic heads, lay administrators, unit heads, internal quality auditors, process owners, faculty, staff, and other members and other members and friends of CSA-B,” the school said in a press release.

“This marks a historic milestone for the educational institution and reaffirms the school’s unwavering commitment to quality Augustinian education in line with international standards,” it added. ||
